The Ministry of BUILT advises that the portion of the road network between Bishop View Road and Isle Bay Plantation has sustained damage due to frequent traversing by heavy-duty lorries transporting sand and aggregate from Corkhill. This activity has led to the formation of potholes and deterioration of the road surface.
Effective immediately, all operators of heavy equipment, particularly those transporting construction materials are directed to refrain from using this section of the road until further notice. This measure is necessary to prevent further damage and to preserve the integrity of the roadway for all users.
As an alternative, heavy-duty operators are advised to utilize the Dr. Woods to Salem route.
The Ministry appreciates your cooperation and understanding as MBUILT continues its efforts to maintain safe and reliable infrastructure across the island.”
