Let’s face it, there are some people who were born to do what they do. It is not an easy accomplishment to command a presence in radio for 20 years and still maintain a high level of interest. Basil is undeniably one of the leading radio announcers in the Eastern Caribbean. His show is not only popular in Montserrat but throughout the world. Basil is known as the Early Morning Man. He wakes up the nation every day, creating an atmosphere that causes people to feel inspired, motivated, and ready to take on their daily tasks. It is a skill he has mastered over the years and one in which his listeners have grown to love and become attached to.

His programme starts off with meditation and the birthday circle, then shifts into the news and information segment. It climaxes with the popular programme “What’s on Your Mind” a call in show that engages the thoughts, perspectives and opinions of his listeners. The programme, scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, gives people an opportunity to freely but responsibly say what’s on their mind, uninterrupted.
